BIOS Ministries International Inc. and the PeaceBuilding Forum Announce Partnership to Advance Housing, Education, and Peace

Thomaston, CT & Philadelphia Pennsylvania– [8/24/25]BIOS Ministries International Inc., a nonprofit committed to providing food, shelter, health, and dignity for communities in need, has announced a partnership with the PeaceBuilding Forum, founded by global peace activist and United Nations–recognized Ambassador of Peace, Peter Jam. Peter Jam has moved beyond music and does speeches in places like UNESCO Palace in Beirut, UN complex (parliament) in Vienna and the UN headquarters in NYC. Together, they will unite affordable housing initiatives with peace education workshops to create safer, healthier, and more compassionate communities.

At the heart of this partnership is a simple but powerful idea: homeownership builds peace. Secure housing provides the foundation for families to thrive, while peace education empowers individuals to resolve conflict, embrace diversity, and strengthen relationships. By combining these forces, BIOS Ministries and the PeaceBuilding Forum seek to address both the material and spiritual needs of communities around the world.

“Shelter is more than four walls — it is the cornerstone of dignity and stability,” said Steve Schappert, Founder of BIOS Ministries International Inc. “When people have homes and the tools to live peacefully with one another, cycles of poverty and violence are broken. This partnership bridges the physical and the relational to create lasting change.”

The PeaceBuilding Forum will bring its interactive workshops — focused on conflict resolution, nonviolent communication, and intercultural understanding — into the larger BIOS ecosystem. Participants will earn PeaceBuilder Certification and learn practical ways to build harmony in their families, schools, and communities.

“Peace begins with the self and extends to the world around us,” said Peter Jam, Founder of the PeaceBuilding Forum. “By joining forces with BIOS Ministries, we can connect the dots between safe housing, inner peace, and community resilience. Together, we are creating not just shelter, but true security.”

The partnership will debut programs that integrate housing development, peace education, and community engagement through events such as FaithFest, a global celebration of music, art, and unity. Each initiative will reinforce the shared mission: to create communities where every individual has access to food, shelter, health, and the knowledge to live peacefully with others.
